Yim Siwan receives prestigious Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards 2023

On 21st October 2023, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism’s Commendation of Korea recognised Siwan's contribution to development of Korea's culture through popular culture and artistic activities.

Here is the citation that was announced for Siwan.

"Actor Yim Siwan who was recognised for his acting with delicate emotions, has recently made a wide range of appearances across various works. Showing his incredible acting spectrum."

"It's a bit overwhelming to speak for the first time in such a place of honor. So, I will speak briefly today. I will continue to work hard & diligently in the future. Since it's a Popular Culture & Arts Award, I'd like to say, I think watching movies at the theater is a healthy & fun hobby. I hope you'll continue to watch movies at the theater. In particular, please watch my movie #1947Boston! Not just because it just came out and I am in it, but because it’s really fun.”
